BCG Pymetrics Test/Game

Hi there,

I applied for a BCG position earlier today in the Middle East Office and about 2 hours after submitting my application, I was sent the link for the pymetrics games.

Is the pymetric link sent to everyone or does this mean I passed the initial CV screening.

What can I do to prepare myself for the games given that I only have a 48 hour period.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Usually you need to pass a resume screen to get an invite for Pymetrics, but if you got the link 2 hours after submitting the application they may indeed be sending it to everyone.

Look up practice materials online - search on this forum, and I believe MConsultingPrep has some good ones too. The online tests for MBB test similar skills, so feels free to look at practice material for Bain and McKinsey too.

Hi there,

It does depend a bit on the recruiting channel, but this in this instance it sounds like it has been sent to everyone.

Regardless, whether you passed the screening test and are in round 1 OR you haven't and you're in round 0, does this affect anything? Nope!

Like Cristian, I highly recommend going the paid route here. First exhaust the free practice tests, and then, if you still need help go paid.

Hi there,

Good to hear!

Yes, in most geographies the game is sent immediately after you submit the application as long as your application fulfils the minimum requirements.

They then take into account the results of your test together with your CV and cover letter to decide whether to give you an offer or not.

In terms of how to prepare, considering the short timeline, I'd actually suggest that you go for one of the paid guides for the test that some coaches offer. This will maximize your chances of passing.

Aside from this, check online for free resources - there are lots of them and they should give you a good indication of what to expect.

Last but not least, keep on applying to other firms as well and ensure that you have a strong application strategy. Here's a guide on how to achieve this:

Best,
Cristian
