I recently took the pymetrics for my BCG Internship, but I didn't take the test within the 48 time period. Will this affect my chances for the internship? I do have two referrals for this job. Will that Help?

Hi there,

Q: I recently took the pymetrics for my BCG Internship, but I didn't take the test within the 48 time period. Will this affect my chances for the internship?

I guess you mean you had 48h to complete the test and did it later? Given the link was still working it might not be an issue. You can reach out to HR (I would call if possible) to ask for confirmation that they received the results correctly.

Good luck!

Francesco

Hi there,

Given the link still worked you *should* be fine. That said, there's nothing to be done now. Just have to wait and see. Next time, make sure not to risk something so big with a mistake so easy to avoid!

I understand. That's rather strange. Usually, the link expires if you don't take it within the timeline they required.

I'd give it a week to hear back from them and if they don't, then send an email to the recruiter to ask for an update. Don't proactively mention that you did the test later than required.

Aside from this, keep on applying to diversify your risk. Firms are tougher on screening at the moment, so it makes sense to have a smart application strategy. You might find the following article useful:

Hi there,

should normally be fine, given the link still worked. Suggest you briefly check with HR and explain.

With regards to referrals - they help, but (in most locations) won't waive the test requirement.

All the best!

Regards, Andi

Should not be an issue. If they allowed you to do the test, they will take the score and most likely not consider the timing.
