BCG Middle East - Case Bot feedback?

I recently completed the Chat Bot case for the Senior Associate position at BCG Middle East, and it's been a week without any feedback from HR. Some friends mentioned that responses usually come within a few days, so I'm wondering how long it typically takes to hear back after completing the case.

Also, I’m planning a trip next week and will be away for two weeks with limited ability to prepare for interviews or take calls from HR. Should I proactively email HR to inform them of my situation, or wait to hear from them first and then explain? If I’m invited to interview, would proposing a slight delay be seen negatively? I’ve indicated March 2025 as my preferred start date, so January interviews should still be possible, but I’m not sure if BCG would prefer an earlier start.

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! Would you mind telling me more how the Case Bot at BCG Middle East for full-time roles looks like? And what platform it is on? Thanks a lot in advance.

It normally takes 1–2 weeks to get an answer after completing the test. Follow up with HR if you don’t hear back by then.

Share your preferred dates only after they confirm there will be interviews. They are usually flexible, but keep in mind that recruiting will stop once they meet their hiring targets.

Best,

Alberto

Hi there,

You should hear back within 2 weeks but it can also take longer currently. -> It's always a good idea to be transparent and keep HR in the loop about your availability and logistical aspects.

Cheers,

Florian

There is nothing wrong with asking for an update after 1 week from your last touch point with a recruiter/step in the recruiting process for this context and in general. My recommendation is to keep the question general to start (when can I expect to hear back and what is the timeline for the next steps R1 / Decision Round interviews). I hope the interview invite is coming your way!

Make sure you're dedicating enough time in the interim to get ready for cases. I'm happy to work with you to develop a plan for purposeful, high-quality practice that mixes live coaching, mock interviews with peers, and drills you can do on your own and on the go (e.g., structuring, brainstorming, mental math). If you get that invite, you want to be ready :)
