Applying to Mbb and tier 2

Good day everyone, hope you are doing well. I am a finance graduate from USA with 3.7 GPA. I work at big 4 as a consultant riyadh for 8 months now targeting financial projects, and I have previously worked for two years as a consultant in education(ministry of education in dubai,….). I also have 3 months internship remote in finance. I am hopping to apply to tier 2 or MBB.

1) What are my chances considering referrals from senior consultants there?

2) please please I searched alot and cant find a decent resume showing how my experience should b structured to impress mbb.

If you need any extra information I would gladly share but need a real idea of if I apply now high would my probability be

Thank you

Thanks for sharing your background! You’re in a solid position to apply, especially with a referral.

1) Your chances with a referral:
Referrals from senior consultants at MBB or Tier 2 firms can significantly boost your chances of getting an interview. With your Big 4 + government consulting background, plus a solid GPA, you’re a viable candidate, especially if you tailor your story well.

2) Resume advice:
Structure your CV with impact-first bullets using this format:
Action verb + context + specific result (quantified if possible).
Focus on problem-solving, leadership, and client impact. Highlight public sector strategy, data-driven analysis, and any finance-related achievements.

If you'd like, I can help you review or draft a consulting-style resume based on your experience. You're definitely not far off — it’s all about how you frame it.

Best of luck!

Hi,

Good luck with your preparation.

1) Chances are high you receive a referral if you put sufficient effort in this.

2) Start with listing

  • your work experiences + function description + major projects
  • study experience + score + most important courses
  • skills (e.g., language, IT) and extracurricular activities

Feel free to contact me, I can review your CV and send good examples.
