I'm about to apply for an open position at Oliver Wyman as a consultant and wanted to ask if someone who's currently working there or has been working there in the past in the same or similar position would be willing to share their experience?
I have a couple of specific questions:
- What are the people like? I heard that they have a laid-back culture. Would you agree with that?
- What's the process for staffing people on projects? Do consultants have a say in which projects they get staffed on, is there an internal application process or similar?
- Do the different OW offices have a specific industry focus (I'm specifically interested in the NY office)?
- What surprised you most about working at OW (compared to your expectations or working at other consulting firms)?
