Hello! I recently applied for a graduate scheme in General Insurance Leadership at Allianz Australia, and have been invited to take their virtual assessment in a few weeks. I was wondering whether anyone knows what this assessment entails, what some good resources to practice might be, and how I should best prepare?

I realize this question is a little bit outside of the general management consulting frame, but I felt that there might be some overlap.

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the invite!

This is indeed an interesting, very specific question, so I am happy to provide my perspective on it:

  • I fear hardly anyone on this platform will be able to provide a valid and in-depth answer to your questions.
  • Thus, I would advise you to contact Allianz and politely ask them to tell you a bit about the components of the assessment. Maybe also give Google a try to come up with a few insights.
  • Once you are knowledgeable about what you will be facing, I would be more than happy to work with and help you find the best possible preparation material.

In case you want a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming assessment, please feel free to contact me directly.

I hope this helps,

Hagen

It should include:

  1. A case study presentation
  2. A group exercise
  3. A role play
  4. An interview

To be honest, you should both google this and reach out to the the recruiters for more information. That's the best way to make sure you are preparing the right way for the right things.

Best of luck!

Hi there,

Your best bet is going to be to ask them directly!

Ask them if they can tell you more about the assessment and if there are any ways to prepare. You can also what the topic is, to try and see if it's more similar to a PST or SOVA or GRE or Pymetrics, etc.

Much better to hear from the horse's mouth!

Hi!

There are some previous posts here on PrepLounge on resources to prepare for standardized online assessment.

Have a look there and you'll find useful resources, especially for the quantitative part of the test.

Good luck,

Anto
