AlixPartners MBB Position Equivalent

Hi all,

I am currently a 3rd year MBB Consultant and have been approached by a Headhunter for a "Consultant" Position at AlixPartners (RX).

It is their most junior position (after Analyst - but that started just recently), where they usually hire people with a 3-4 year Big4 Advisory background. The total compensation is comparable to my current one.

My question: is that position appropriate, or can I try leverage my MBB background for a higher position (Vice President)? How do I best approach this?

Thank you for your constructive comments in advance!

Best,

D

sounds like a downgrade to me.

3rd year - im assuming you are an asc or if you are part of the ba to em direct program, at least very close to an EM.

Hi there,

This sounds like a very bad deal to be fair.

If you make the move, you should be hired on an equivalent level (with a very short promotion window) or even a position higher (EM-level).

If you want to make an exit at McKinsey, there is better options in terms of salary and work-life balance.

Cheers,

Florian

Hi Florian, that's exactly my question, what would be an equivalent level? I'm not EM right now, first year Associate/Consultant. Thanks in advance! Best, D
