The assessment test at Simon Kucher involves around 20 multiple choice questions to be completed within a certain time (20-30 minutes). The questions are quant/logical reasoning focused (e.g., graph reading, growth rates, %, ratios...).

The Simon-Kucher test is quite similar to the GMAT: it includes math, logic, and data interpretation questions under tight time pressure.
To prepare effectively, practice mental math, quick reading of charts and graphs, and logical reasoning exercises. Simulate test conditions as much as possible — especially timing. Focus on identifying shortcuts in problem-solving and eliminating wrong answers fast.

Typically, they use screening tests that follow a similar format to those from Kearney, Roland Berger and most other firms. It's worth asking the recruiter though, and/or recent hires (<1.5h of tenure).

For the test part you’ve already received pretty comprehensive answers from other coaches.
For the CV, it’s not so different to other consulting firms (e.g., overindex on leadership experience, tangible/numeric examples of your impact etc.)

Simon-Kucher usually uses numerical and logical reasoning tests, often SHL-style, and sometimes a short case-based online assessment. In some offices, there’s also a personality questionnaire. It’s quick but analytical, so brush up on mental math and pattern recognition!
For your CV, highlight structured thinking, strong academics, and anything related to pricing, marketing, or strategy. They really value analytical skills, client exposure, and international experience. Also show impact and teamwork.
