Submitted an application 20 days ago and haven't received any updates yet. Should I assume that I did not pass the resume round? (FYI: graduated in May and started my job at a big-4 consulting firm right after graduation)
Should I assume that I did not pass the resume round?

Hi there,
No, you shouldn't assume that.
Get in touch with the recruiter and ask for an update on your application. Perhaps mention that they are your preferred firm but you are in the recruitment process with other firms as well and would like to make sure you are able to synchronise the interview the right way.
Best,
Cristian

Don't assume anything. When was the recruitment deadline? If so, has it passed? If not, then your resume will not have been reviewed yet.
If it has passed / there was no recruitment deadline then drop a message to the recruiting team to ask for an update. As it's the summer and people are on holiday things can be a bit slower to be processed. Until you have an answer there's no point trying to read into anything.

Hi there,
I would say until you dont receive at least automatic answer, you are still in game. I would encourage you to reach out directly to the recruiting team for an update on your application.
Good luck

Hi there,
You should assume you did not pass the resume round and network + apply to other firms (aim for 20+ applications).
You should simultaneously assume that you did pass the resume round and make sure you're case prepping adequately.
Prepare for both outcomes! Nothing is confirmed until they get back to you.

This may be holiday season and firms are short staffed right now. In any case, I would follow up now or next week to get an update on your situation.

Hello,
I appreciate the wait can be frustrating, but you shouldn't assume you haven't passed if you haven't heard anything! I recommend reaching out to the recruiters and politely asking for an update.
