Question about recruitment.

Hi everyone,

I have a question about recruiting. Let's assume I have experience working full time but remotely for a boutique consulting firm. Can this be considered as relevant qualifying experience when applying for roles at the more established firms? Doesn't have to be the MBBs or Big 4.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Yes, generally your experience within consulting will be considered relevant, regardless of whether it was remote or not. However, how much weight it will have will of course depend on what you actually did as part of that role, and how well you frame your experience.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Thor

Hi there,

Yes, that definitely still counts as relevant experience. What matters most is how you frame your impact and skills rather than the firm’s size or remote setup.

Absolutely.

Even if the work is remote, consulting work is still consulting work.

Lots of projects now are done fully remote. Even lots of the big firms run entire projects remotely. So there's no reason to hesitate.

Best,
