Oliver Wyman interview

Hello everyone, 

I have got an interview schedule from HR today which I have mentioned below:

17th March with EM

21st March with Partner

22nd March with Partner

1 - I thought it would be with EM first and then he will give feedback based on that I will receive another interview but here seems like HR has already shared the interview with everybody in one go with time and name of partners. How are they gonna give me feedback in such a short time after every interview?

2 - I was networking with people to get an idea about how the interview process is gonna be and got a reply from one EM on LinkedIn and we scheduled a call and discuss the interview process and he guided me and gave me some tips. On the same day, I got an email from HR regarding the interview schedule and guess what he is the same EM with whom my interview is scheduled. What a coincidence right :)

Should I email this EM and say that I will be having my interview with him? I do not want to look like I am being pushy. 

The HR has not sent the Zoom link as I am yet to confirm the dates so EM does not know yet.

Hello there, 

1) I agree with the point above on the feedback. Usually, it might not be that helpful when it comes to actionable steps to improve your performance in the next interview. Just go with the flow, the final outcome will be based on the combined feedback of the three interviews.

2) I would not overthink it. Do not reach out to the EM. I have had several similar situations where candidates have reached out to me offline and then I ended up interviewing them. If the EM has a concerns or feels there might be bias, he/she will highlight to the recruiting team and interviewer will be changed.

Dear candidate,

there is no need to email the EM. This is great, it is an excellent sign and hopefully the interview should go well. Ensure you are consistent in your messaging since you have already spoken to this person. Regarding feedback, it is very possible to give you the feedback quickly, this would not be an issue.

1. You likely won't receive any feedback. In any case, you have to be ready at this point, and the feedback they give is usually very generic anyway.

2. Don't email. If the interviewer has a problem, he'll take care of that. But honestly don't see why there would be a problem.

Hi there,

1) They may or may not give you feedback. Regardless, the feedback given is normally incredibly generic and un-actionable.

If you really want feedback you should hire a coach.

2) Please do not interview the EM. Just let the interview occur and when it starts say hello and ask how he's been.

1 - How are they gonna give me feedback in such a short time after every interview?

It seems you are going to have all interviews considered in the same round. So you will probably get feedback after them.

2 - Should I email this EM and say that I will be having my interview with him? I do not want to look like I am being pushy. 

I would not contact him. If this is a problem for him, he will notify HR and you will get another interviewer.
