Any ideas aroud turnaround time, whether they give feedback, if this is a rejection round before a live interview and how to assess performance?
I went through the online case for BCG. I answered all questions but surely bombed the math part. Similar exp any one?

Hi there,
Things are moving around a bit and it does depend on the office, but I'm starting to hear now that the online case is more being used more to assess candidates hollistically than as a stage gate. So, there's still a change you get invited for a live interview (but you'll 100% want to make sure you shine on the math portion).
Best of luck!

Hi there,
1) Any ideas around turnaround time
Usually a couple of days, up to two weeks
2) Whether they give feedback
You mean in terms of your performance? No, they will just say if you passed or not
3) If this is a rejection round before a live interview and how to assess performance
It depends on the office. If it was scheduled on its own, then it will be a standalone round. Sometimes it is scheduled together with interviews, in that case they will assess both the test and the live interview.
Best,
Francesco

Hey there,
- Usually feedback is given within one week, however, it depends on the third question
- You will not receive specific feedback, however, if you already know that you bombed the math part, then you know where your focus should be when preparing for other firms since the math part will be very similar in BCG, Bain, and McKinsey interviews.
- If it is not a rejection round but rather in combination with the first-round interviews, it will be communicated together with the interview result. For most offices currently, the online case is not an elimination round but rather used in combination with the first-round interviews. This should have been communicated to you by BCG. If not, I would ask!
All the best and fingers crossed for a positive outcome!
Cheers,
Florian
