HR not responsive

Hi Community,

I got an email from HR at MBB to keep him posted after I submitted my resume on their website. However, I already notified him by sending an email telling I have submitted it and I have not received confirmation afterwards.

Should I send another follow-up email stating I already applied on xx 2022 (or other suggested phrase? please advise) or it is normal for HR not to reply for confirmation?

Thank you in advance!

Hi there,

This isn't too uncommon (they are normally quite bad at responding).

If you have not heard back (in terms of interview invite), then you can reach out in a few weeks to ask him if he has any update.

Be patient here as these things can take weeks and even months sometimes.

Make sure that as you wait you are not just waiting.

You should be networking + applying to other firms.

You should also make sure you're casing: https://www.preplounge.com/en/articles/how-to-shift-your-mindset-to-ace-the-case

Hi there,

I would not expect a confirmation email. Based on your description, they just wanted a heads-up when you applied.

However, if this is making you nervous, send a follow-up or place a call in a week or so.

Best,

Cristian

There is often an automated confirmation message that you get when you submit your documents through the official portals - or some form of status message that you can check with your login. If you don’t hear back via email after having reached out to the recruiter, I would try following up via phone - just to confirm that everything was submitted correctly

Hi there,

Q: I got an email from HR at MBB to keep him posted after I submitted my resume on their website. I already notified him by sending an email and I have not received confirmation afterwards. Should I send another follow-up email

I would wait 2 weeks from the last email and then followup asking for confirmation that they received everything.

Good luck!

Hey there,

Wait for 2 weeks, then call (!) HR directly. Forget about tedious emails back and forth and solve these matters directly.

Much easier, less time wasted, and direct results.

Cheers,

Florian

I suggest to way 10 days or so and then calling this person.

I wouldn't, but if you dont get any email to invite you for interviews or tests in let's say 2-3 weeks, I would reach out calling to ask.

Good luck!

Lucie

You’ve submitted and let him know - I don’t think you need to worry and I suspect that he’s too busy to respond to you. Try not to worry but follow up on a week or so if you still haven’t heard anything.

Good luck!

It's fine if they don't send you a reply. It's not fine if after two weeks you receive no confirmation from them / no news on the process moving forward. If that happens, reach out to them.
