How is my CV looking for graduate consulting roles in London/Middle East?

Hello,

I hope you are doing well.

I am going to be graduating in July 2024, and I am hoping to secure a full-time role at MBB/T2 in either the Middle East or London. Can you please let me know if my CV looks competitive enough to at least get a few interviews in the current application cycle? If not, do you have any feedback? Please do feel free to nitpick as much as you want (excuse the black lines on the side - I did not screenshot properly).

Essentially, if my CV came up in a pile of CVs you have to review, what would your decision end up being?

Hi there!

Overall, it's in a good shape.

A few things you'd want to consider:

It looks a bit busy now. I'd cut 10-15% of the content to make more space
Aim for about 3 bullet points per experience
Aim for 1.5-2 rows per bullet point (ideally you'd cover what you did, how and what was the impact of it in each bullet point)
Give an indication of relative performance (not only static GPA, also give an indication of how you performed vs peers in your work experience)
Re-brand ‘extracurricular’ into ‘Leadership & Volunteering’ and refocus the content accordingly.

Overall the CV is 80% there, but there are still improvements and polishing that you can do.

Hello,

This is an excellent resume! A couple of quick pieces of feedback:

It's a bit busy on the page - I would add some spacing ahead of each role that is in bold, and recommend keeping it to 3-4 bullets per experience
Spell out numbers less than 10 in full (e.g., five instead of 5)
This is a matter of preference, but I would recommend to keep everything in the past tense, even if it is a position you are currently doing. Keeps it cleaner and more consistent
If you need to cut some things to make room, feel free to cut out the coursework and/or shorten the interests (which are very impressive, btw!)

Honestly, you've done a fantastic job - well done!

There are a few tweaks I'd make here and there to make it pop a bit more (slight formatting, a bit more white space, combining some bullet points, etc.), but, overall, this is an excellent resume!
