I'm finding it really hard to find a suitable interview coach from my own region. Most of the ones I'm seeing are either overcharging for their services or not experienced enough to coach.
I've been finding really solid offers, from really talented and well reviewed coaches, including reasonable coaching packages but from coaches that are situated elsewhere.
Is having a coach from the same region really all that important?

Having said that, besides the foundational prep and guidance, choosing a region-specific coach can sometimes help you better understand interview styles in the region, types of cases to expect, and how to best position yourself for success here because they have gone through the process themselves and potentially supported others too. At the end of the day, regardless of region, you should feel a good fit with your coach - especially if you're planning to engage in a longer term package (in which case you would be meeting them frequently).
The nice benefit of coaches from your own region is that they will truly understand the nuances of the region and be better able to guide you through it - because likely they went through it also.
Best way to sort this: do the free chat, if not convinced, ask for a trial session with a discounted rate to see how they coach during a full session. From there you should be able to see if there is a fit.
