How does BCG ME decide to hire someone or not? What are the main factors? What if I bombed a case? How will it impact?
Particularly, what does holistic evaluation approach mean?
Thanks!

Hi there,
Once you passed through the CV phase and the online assessment, it boils down to your case and behavioral interview performance. If you are an experienced hire, the need of the company for that specific skill / ability to open doors if it’s a more senior position will be also taken into account.
Best,
Mari
Hey there,
If you're talking about hiring someone and bombing the case, I'm assuming you are talking about it from the point of having been successful in the interview screening and any online games.
Ultimately, in each round, the interviewers will meet to combine their assessment scores and merge their perspectives to determine if you either go to the next round (if in Round 1) or get the offer (if in Final Round). And generally speaking, you need to get the approval of both (or all) your interviewers for this to happen.
So if you don't do well in the case, it becomes a question of if you didn't do well in a certain aspect or dimension of the case or the case overall. And then based on that, that rolls up to if the interviewer feels happy and confident to progress you to the next round (or give you an offer) or not whilst in consultation with any other interviewers you'd have met with in that round. That's pretty much the process of how hiring decision will be made
Hope that helps! All the best
If you bombed a case, you will not get an offer.
You have to show strong problem solving (case) and leadership skills (experience interview), as well as communication, analytical power, quantitative and logical reasoning, business sense and some general culture and industry knowledge.
