Hi There,
I received an email from Mckinsey after completing the PSG test, containing an invitation to chat with me in regards to next steps.
What to expect in this interview?
How can I prepare for this interview?
Is one week sufficient to be ready?

Hi there,
You are not being interviewed yet. You have *probably* passed the screening stage and this is just an intro call.
That said make sure you are prepared with your “Three Whys”: https://www.preplounge.com/en/articles/tell-me-about-yourself-interview-question
Make sure to be conversational, flexible, and personable in the call. Essentially, they are making sure that you're clear on the position/role, that you're a good fit, and that you're “normal” enough. If you have any questions, you can also ask them.
Hey there,
If they have not specified that it will be an evaluative interview, this interview will simply be to
To prepare, think about some questions that you would like to have answered to smoothen the process.
Cheers,
Florian
Hi there,
Congrats on passing the PSG!
This rather sounds like a short touchpoint with HR to align on the interview dates, so you won't be formally assessed in this discussion. Just make sure that you prepare any questions that you have regarding the process and do try and get some visibility on what would be best period for you to be interviewing.
If you're starting from scratch with casing, on average you're looking at about 2-3 months of practice and doing about 100 cases. A coach can help accelerate this path, but there's still quite some time and effort you need to invest in this.
Best,
Cristian
Congratulations on passing the PSG test/CV screen!
Whenever there is a formal interview at McK, you will be informed well in advance and be told how best to prepare for it. This email is more for an introductory call with HR where they will ask you about your office preference, talk about logistical issues and an opportunity for you to ask any recruitment related questions you have.
No need to worry about this call at all
Best,
Udayan
Hello,
This is great news! As others here have pointed out, this is most likely going to be an introductory call to get to know you, answer any questions you have about the process, and schedule your first round interviews.
My advice would be to think about whether you have any questions about recruiting that they can help you with, and answer those. Also, think about which office locations you prefer (if you didn't specify this on your applications already).
This doesn't seem to be an interview - just a conversation about next steps. You need to know what is relevant to you that you want (start dates, locations, when you want to interview and constraints you may have, etc.).
Thank you for the “Three Whys” link.
What do you mean by “normal” enough?
