• Moreover, please bear in mind that there is no correlation between the delay and the result, so please don't read anything into it.
• Lastly, if you still haven't received any updates, I would highly advise you to reach out once more, possibly through a different channel or a direct contact, if you have one, to ensure your inquiry is noted. Additionally, please apply to other consulting firms as well.

Hi there,

It is not the best recruiting environment, so delays before and between rounds are common, unfortunately.

At this point, it's more of a waiting game and the delay usually does not indicate a fail or pass.

I'd look for alternatives nonetheless and keep prepping for case and fit.

I understand your concern about not hearing back after taking the game test. Here are a few things to consider:

1. Processing Time: It’s common for there to be a delay in processing and communicating results. If it has been few weeks, you might consider sending a polite follow-up email reiterating your interest in the position and inquiring about the status of your application. 
2. Contacting the Right Channel: Ensure you are reaching out to the correct contact or email address for recruitment queries. Sometimes emails can get lost or overlooked.

3. Pursue other opportunities: Keep networking and focusing on applications to other firms, Mckinsey is not the only way to enter strategy consulting

Sorry to hear about the wait and the fact that you didn't even get a result after following back. That's rather unusual. 

However, at this point, there's not much that you can do about it. 

My recommendation would be to focus on other applications in the meantime and hopefully you should hear back from McKinsey soon.

Hi there,

you will definitely get an answer about your result. They don't give candidates the silent treatment, but it may take a while. For as long as you don't have the official answer, there is no point in trying to infer the result based on that - processing times are currently slow.

Since this is outside of your control for the moment, focus your efforts on your other applications and on preparing for interviews because you likely won't have much time in case you do get an interview invite.

It's a bit unfortunate that they don't reply to you - but at the same time I understand… you'll get your answer anyway soon. So hold on a bit more for the result. Waiting a whole month is quite common actually.
