Hi!

My opinion: It's better than the typical casebook structures, but still contains some major problems/flaws.

But for this price you can't do anything wrong really, especially when you are just starting with case prepping. Just be mentally prepared that it will not be enough to really feel robust and “offer-ready” at any point!

Cheers, Sidi

Hi there!

I know a couple of candidates who tried it and were quite happy with it. I haven't personally tested it myself.

There are also some structuring drills here on the platform in case you haven't tried them out yet:

Agree with Sidi,

Any self-taught course can only be used as a supplement to your preparation and in no way can substitute coaching and practicing with peers in real-life. Why? Because when practicing with another person you get feedback, which is crucial for your progress.

Though it can be a good idea to get some understanding of a structuring process for a complete beginner before starting solving cases with peers, such programs would have less of an impact for more experienced candidates.

Nick

Hi there,

I love their course. It's of a similar mindset/thinking to mine.

Essentially, if my candidates ever run out of frameworking exercises/drills from my course, I point them to crafting cases as the next best option;

I personally think the investment is worth it!

The thing with Crafting cases is that they are quite good at the second layer of a structure (i.e., they provide a lot of content and good questions that will help you think about the very specific factors one needs to consider), they are a bit mediocre at the first layer, because they still follow the old-school “bucket” / “boil the ocean” mentality.

So they have great stuff on the buckets… but they shouldn't be using buckets. They should be breaking down the goal into key separated questions/goals, and not into “areas of investigation”.

Having said that, the content is good, and it is not over-priced.
