Can they see interviewer/HR comments from past applications?
Can MBB see feedback from past applications?

Hi there,
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:
- First of all, consulting firms typically maintain an internal database where they keep track of past applications and decisions. This means that if you applied in the past and there was specific feedback, it might be stored in this system.
- Moreover, while not every detail might be visible, crucial feedback or particular concerns that were raised in past applications can sometimes be accessible to the recruiting team.
- Lastly, I would advise you to approach every application as a new opportunity. Even if there was feedback from past applications, what matters most is your growth in the meantime and your current performance.
You can find more on this topic here: How to deal with a rejection from a consulting company.
If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Best,
Hagen

Hi there,
Yes, but at the same time, if you are invited to interview, view it as a “fresh chance”
Your old interview/application isn't holding you back. If you perform well and demonstrate your aptitude, then you'll be given the offer.
Don't make the same mistake twice! Get a coach to help you figure out what went wrong last time.
Read the following to start that mindset shift:

Information is kept in the system. HR has access to that information. Interviewers do not.
But rest assured, if you are being interviewed, you get a fresh start.

Hello,
Yes, they do keep track of such things in their systems. Because of that, it makes little sense to apply with a deferent email, for example, trying to not get recognised, as they can still mach your application data by other criteria.

Nick

Hi there!
If you're applying to the same office, HR might keep an overview of how your past interviews went. But not in all offices.
The interviewers themselves have no clue. They basically only get your CV and cover letter before the interview, not an understand of whether you've applied before.
So don't worry too much about it - past performance won't reflect badly on you in the present.
Best,
Cristian

Hi there,
Feedback is generally kept and is accessible by recruiters, but not interviewers.
The reason being that recruiters will base the decision for re-interviewing on past feedback, but don't want interviewers to be biased by the same feedback if you do get a 2nd chance.
Hope this helps. Best of luck!
Moritz

Interviewers not, HR yes.

Hi there,
Interviewers have no access to previous feedback and even have no access to feedback of previous interviews within the same recruiting process. MBB try to prevent interviewers to be biased in any form.
Best,
Alberto
