Am a current 3rd year at a US T10 college with a 3.70 GPA and have several leadership and internships experience. I'm curious, for recruiting, how much does the brand name impact perception. Think one internship might have a bigger brand name than the other but both companies are relatively similar size with valuations of 12 to 20Billion if that provides context. For context, they're not like the biggest brand name but they're leaders in their space.
Brand name?

Hi there,
You're not really giving us a lot of detail here, so it's rather difficult to answer. But high-level - you might not be surprised to hear it - brand does matter.
Having a flashier name on your CV will get you access to even flashier brands. So it's worth taking that into account strategically when deciding which internship to go for. It's great that you even have the benefit of choice.
Best,
Cristian

Hi there,
It completely depends on the role you're in and the type of brand.
For example, if you interned at DraftKings or for the NBA, that's not as valuable as interning at Mars & Co.
That's because DraftKings may have a stronger brand, but Mars & Co is actually relevant experience for consulting recruiting.
Make sense?

Hi there,

It is very difficult to comment without knowing the brands. As Ian said, the industry of the firm and your role are also relevant.
Best,
Francesco

Hello,
It seems like you are deciding between two internships (in which case, congratulations on your offers!)? You're not giving a lot of detail here, but brand name absolutely does matter. But bear in mind also that the role, responsibilities, and types of skills you'll be able to build in the internship matter too - these are the things you'll be able to discuss in more detail in your resume and during an interview. So I would keep brand name in mind as a consideration when picking internships, but ultimately be sure to compare both options more holistically too.
