BCG application

Hi there,

I applied to BCG in the US offices and I chose the 3 offices all in the US as I’m studying there. one week later after I did an extensive research, I found myself more interested in the Middle East offices. I tried to change the offices in the application but I couldn’t. therefore, I filed a new application through another personal email but using the same resume and information. I don’t intend at all to game the system but just my mind changed.
Is there any danger may encounter my application? What do you recommend at this time?

Hi there,

usually not a big deal, as long as you communicate your intents clearly - suggest you reach out to HR team and clarify the situation though.

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

Q: Is there any danger may encounter my application? What do you recommend at this time?

To avoid possible problems I would recommend contacting HR and letting them know about the change of preferences you would like to implement – this should help fix things.

Good luck!

Francesco

Which HR should I contact ? The U.S. offices or Middle East offices? And the first choice in each or the whole offices?

Hi there, either could work. I would personally reach out to the HR in the US as you don’t want that they screen the application there and thus you can align on that. Best, Francesco

Hello,

I would just send HR a quick email explaining the situation. Additionally, there may be an option to withdraw your first application (where you indicated interest in the US offices). I think you should be fine.

Hi there,

I would highly recommend you reach out to HR.

It's not just about risking theym thinking you're gaming the systme, but rather it's about making sure the right application/preferences gets looked at!

Try the relevant HR for each application.

Hi there!

Auch, it sounds like you made life more complicated for yourself than it was necessary.

At this point I'd just reach out to the recruiter to explain the situation and withdraw the first application.

Read also this guide about how to better navigate the recruitment process.

Best,
Cristian
