Bain reply time

I did my gorilla test with Bain about a month and a half ago(I am sure I aced it) and still didn't hear anything back since. I also tried reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn but no one seems to be responsive. What can I do in this situation?

hey Youssef :)

a month and a half is longer than usual, but it’s not unheard of, sometimes internal approvals or scheduling delays hold things up. at this point, the best approach is to politely email the recruiter who invited you to the test, rather than LinkedIn messages, and ask for a status update. keep it short and professional, just expressing your continued interest and asking if there’s any update on next steps. unfortunately, there’s no magic way to speed it up beyond that.

best,
Alessa :)

Thank you for your response, I don't have the recruiter name's exactly, but I have the email that sent me the test, I'll contact them.

Youssef,

That sounds frustrating.

Typically they respond within 1-3 weeks.

I would suggest you follow up one more time and then let go. It's unclear what might've happened.

But these things do happen sometimes and even if they are exceptions, they are part of the process. Which is why it's important to diversify your application process so you don't depend on only certain firms.

Write an email to HR. LinkedIn is not the best tool for this.

And honestly by this time you should already have an answer.
