I'm having my first round of interviews in the coming days, and I just got more information about my interviewers. One of them will be an associate director and the other a project leader.
Any different expectations from the associate director? could the reason of having an associate director in the first round is that I'm applying for a consultant level and not an associate level? or that depends on the availability of the team?
Associate Director first round

Hi there,
Please don't worry too much about this! There should not be a noticeable difference between interviewers here.
Just remember your training/practice…they're just another consultant who's been there a few years longer :)
Hi there!
First of all - congratulations on securing a first round interview!
Regarding your question, assuming that you are applying for generalist track (and not expert track), I wouldn’t read anything into the roles other than their respective availability.
Good luck with your interview!

Hey, doesn't matter what level the interviewer is, so please don't speculate. Focus on giving your best in every interview and make it easy for every interviewer to say Yes to you.
All the best! Fingers crossed for you.

It only depends on consultants availability.
And the only consequences are 1) having a more experienced interviewer; 2) a slightly higher probability of having a less structured case

Hi there, no need to worry. AD is a principal level position which is quite normal for R1. Only difference is AD is an expert track title - which again is not an issue since the interviewer pool is many times shared across all streams.

Hello,
Congratulations on getting an interview!
The position of your interviewer in the first round completely depends on their availability. So, as the other experts here have recommended, don't read anything into it and prepare to do your best in both interviews.

Hey there,
This has no impact on your interview but is rather related to scheduling reasons. You can expect the same evaluation as with any other interviewer-trained consultant in the firm.
All the best and fingers crossed!
Cheers,
Florian
