Hi I'm a UK graduate with a first in MSc Natural Sciences working as a entry level strategy consultant at Accenture London Office, on a two year program, started in January 2026.
My understanding is that generally you are eligible to apply for entry level graduate programs up to 2 years after graduation. I graduated in June 2025.
I am considering applying for LEK London Office - Associate (entry level) - Generalist 2027 or Life Sciences 2027. The vacancy says you require a 2:1 and provide a CV. I am not sure if the 2 year post graduation time line is applicable here. Would I still be eligible to apply having already started at Accenture. The LEK vacancy has 3 start dates: May 2027, Oct 2027 & March 2028 (allocated post offer). If I was successful could I chose the start date?
I'd love to hear from anyone who has a perspective on the relative merits of starting out at each of these firms.
Specifically: 1. I've heard LEK has a reputation for very long hours, and little client engagement. Is this true? 2. What are the usual directions that people take after a couple of years at each of these places? 3. How are each of these names viewed relative to each other in terms of brand power? Does LEK have a stronger name in the UK (vs. USA for example)?
