Is the J.P. Morgan coffee chat part of candidate screening?

Hi! I recently participated in a virtual coffee chat hosted by J.P. Morgan through one of their official recruiting events. Does anyone know if these chats are part of the actual screening process? I tried to prepare well, but my internet cut out briefly in the middle of the conversation. I rejoined quickly, but now I’m worried it may have left a bad impression.

Do these chats inform interview decisions in any formal way? Would really appreciate any insight from people who’ve gone through the process or work at JPM.

As for the brief internet issue, don’t worry. These things happen, especially in virtual settings. As long as you stayed professional and rejoined quickly, it’s unlikely to have left a bad impression.
