Where should I mention participation in MBB events?

Hi everyone!

I'm just at the beginning of my application process working on my cover letter and CV. So now I'm wondering: If I participated a semester ago in an exclusive event of one of the MBBs, where should I mention that? In the cover letter or CV? I don't really have much space on my CV anymore, but I'm worried they might not even read the cover letter.

Hi,

It depends on the type of the event:

Case competitions - you should mention in your CV if you have decent results. You can send this CV to any MBB company, even if it is not the same company as organized the competition
Company events - you can mention in your cover letter if you have attended the events of the company you are applying to. It doesn't make sense to mention these events if you are applying to a different company.
