Salary expecations

Can someone give me some idea of the salary range for a delivery consultant in London. This is for an experienced hire in a specific team, what is the band of salaries?

Hi there,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, if it is an experienced hire deliver consultant role in a specific consulting firm and team, I would highly advise you to just ask the recruiter or one of the colleagues in that team.
  • Moreover, even if it were not in a specific team, compensation can vary a lot depending on several factors including the size of the consulting firm, the specific industry focus, and your previous experience. Therefore, you may want to check sites like Glassdoor to get a sense of the range you can expect.

You can find more on this topic here: Salaries in the consulting industry.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Say more about what you mean by the delivery consultant. Which firms are you targeting?

Hey there,

When you say Delivery consultant, do you mean with McKinsey's Delivery Office or for another firm?

Salary ranges vary from firm to firm (especially MBB to non-MBB) and amongst delivery consultants the level you are joining in (i.e. from associate to manager level) so it's not easy to just say a single figure.

Check Glassdoor, Indeed, Payscale etc. to get an idea of what others have indicated is the range for the role you're looking for. Typically I'd say ask recruiting or HR, but for this - they tend not to advertise / broadcast their salary ranges until you get the offer

All the best

Hey there!

It's going to be challenging to answer your question since salaries vary quite a bit from consultancy to consultancy and may also depend on your previous experience.

I recommend you check out Glassdoor and similar sites to get an idea of the salary range for the consultancy you are considering.

Hope it helps & all the best,

Maximiliane

You have to be more specific - what kind of consulting firm, what experience level, what do you mean by delivery consultant.

Having said this, Glassdoor is a decent source of information for that kind of question.

Mckinsey SHAPE Delivery Consultant Salaries - in my screening interiview HR asked me my expectations and current sallary. My current is much lower than what they would offer and I'm worried what I said as my expectation is much lower than what they do - is that a disadvantage.
