Actually, I am very surprise that BCG has BA position, I thought their entry level is Associate. BCG Associate is equivalent to BA at McKinsey, and BCG Consultant is equivalent to Associate at McKinsey. I want to know how much the BA at BCG earns per year? I'm asking this because McKinsey and Bain are transparent, they specify the salary for each position on their website. But I can't find any on BCG website. Can anyone tell me how much is the salary for BA and Associate position at BCG? Thanks.
Salary difference between BA and Associate at BCG?

Hi there,
BA in BCG is a position that only exist in some less matured / developed countries. For example, in SEA region, BA role exists in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, but not in Singapore.
Roughly, BA salary is 30% of Associate salary.

Emily

Have a look at Glassdoor for your specific country. My expectation is that difference should be in the 15-25% range.

Hey there 😊,
Yes, you’re totally right that the title structure can be confusing across MBB. At BCG, they actually do have both Business Analyst (BA) and Associate roles, depending on your educational background and the office you're applying to.
🌟 BCG Title Structure Overview:
- Business Analyst (BA) → typically for undergraduates (mainly in offices like the US, Middle East, and some Asian locations).
- Associate → typically for master’s degree holders or more experienced undergrads (varies by region).
- Consultant → roughly equivalent to McKinsey Associate (often post-MBA or PhD entry point).
💰 Salary Benchmarks (approximate, based on recent research and friends in the firm):
- Business Analyst (US/UK):
Base salary: ~$70–90k USD
Total comp incl. bonus: ~$85–105k USD - Associate (US/UK):
Base salary: ~$110–120k USD
Total comp incl. bonus: ~$130–150k USD
💡 Salaries can differ slightly by geography, and Middle East offices offer higher take-home pay due to tax advantages.
Let me know if you want help navigating the role structure or deciding where to apply!
Best, Alessa 😇

Hi there,
IMHO, the most accurate resource for salary comparisons is often levels.fyi.
