Resume Review

Hi! I am currently a senior, preparing for consulting recruitment which has started in my country for full-time positions in 2024. Will greatly appreciate if anyone can help to review my resume. Please be as critical as you can be, as I'd like to be able to refine it further before I submit my applications. Thank you in advance! Apologies if the size looks cut-off, took a screenshot to fully redact the info.

Hi there,

Here's my 10 second (not full!) review and feedback

Overall you've done well with content (what you've put and the wording/language). Try to make it pass the eye test better. For example:

  • Make section headers larger, caps, and underlined
  • Make company bolded, dates itaclized, etc…see what looks good, but make sure of bolding/italics to emphasize things
  • You can remove articles ("a","the") in your bullet points

Overall, nice work on the experience bullet points…this is the hardest part!

Hello,

At a quick look - this looks pretty good! I think you can tighten some of your bullet points if you drop prepositions like “a”, and “the”. I would also tighten the awards and honours section - instead of a sub-heading per honour, I would do them as bullet points, and explain some specifics in parentheses (e.g., Regional Case Competition - 2nd runner up out of 42 teams). I don't think details on what the case competitions involved are necessary.

If you'd like a full resume review, feel free to reach out!

Hi there!

CV looks good - it's about 70-80% there. Two other points to keep in mind:

  • You're ‘missing’ two sections: Leadership & Volunteering, as well as Skills & Interests.
  • Besides GPA, give an indication of your positioning within the cohort (e.g., top 10%)

Best,
Cristian
