Interview with Strategy& (Previously Booz&Co) in the Middle East

Question

Hey,

Next Thursday, I have my first interview with S& - Middle East (Ex-Booz&Co). I am already at a good enough level that I got 2 offers from 2 other tier-2 consulting firms however I would like to know what are some specific areas in the Fit/PEI part and the case part that S& focuses on.

I know that there are a lot of coaches have helped people get to this office so I think the database is quite extensive :)

Any tip would be appreciated.

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the other 2 offers - you're doing something right!

Now, I've coached a number of people in Strategy& (and interviewed there myself), but, honestly, this game isn't worth playing. The more you try and anticipate fit questions, the more rigid you become...you're more likely to be caught of-gaurd.

I highly recommend you stay flexible and adaptable, and be ready for any type of question.

Now, to answer your question mroe directly: There is no discernable pattern between Fit questions at Strat& and other consultancies (that I have seen). There are hundreds of Partners that conduct interviews. They all have different styles, different preferred questions, etc. etc. Adjust and adapt in the moment (and train this) and you'll do just fine :)

Hi there,

Congratulations on landing already 2 offers. Strategy& in the Middle East tends not to have stories on leadership, impact, drive etc. - you may still occasionally get them but that’s rare. You will still get the other traditional questions such as:

Tell me about yourself
Why consulting
Why us
Why the Middle East (if you are not there already)
