Conclusion on savings

Without RFDI we only needed 1,35 FTE but we had 4 employees operating still.

So, even though it´s true that in terms of time needed to scan the books, we do need almost less an intire FTE, isn´t it too optimistic to state that we are saving the equivalent to the salary of one employee (30000€)?

Wouldn´t at least a proportion be more much realistic?

Hi there,

Yes and no.

You can certainly include this in your recommendation (risks). But, generally, in a case we're happy with 80/20.

The case itself does say “almost one entire FTE ”…key word here being almost.

We can treat this as either getting rid of 1 whole FTE (and maybe being a bit slower or taking workload from someone) OR converting an FTE to PTE.
