BCG case prep for experienced hire - Agile Project Manager

Hi, I cleared the HR interview with BCG for experienced hire position of a project manager for Agile. I was told there will be 4 more rounds/interviews if hiring manager likes my profile. I am curious on what should I expect and any suggestions on preparing for case interviews in this situation?

Hello!

I did a lot of Agile in my McK times, precisely working iwth the specialists from McK Digital Labs in Berlin -most likely, they are exactly what you are interviewing for-.

Your interviews will be agile-based, but for sure you will have a strong FIT part -SURE SURE SURE, since they need to ensure that you fit into the consulting world-.

Assuming the Agile part you have under control but probably you are quite new to the FIT part, the "Integrated FIT guide for MBB" has been recently published in PrepLounge´s shop (https://www.preplounge.com/en/shop/tests-2/integrated-fit-guide-for-mbb-34)

It provides an end-to-end preparation for all three MBB interviews, tackling each firms particularities and combining key concepts review and a hands-on methodology. Following the book, the candidate will prepare his/her stories by practicing with over 50 real questions and leveraging special frameworks and worksheets that guide step-by-step, developed by the author and her experience as a Master in Management professor and coach. Finally, as further guidance, the guide encompasses over 20 examples from real candidates.

Furthermore, you can find 3 free cases in the PrepL case regarding FIT preparation:

  • Intro and CV questions > https://www.preplounge.com/en/management-consulting-cases/fit-interview/intermediate/introduction-and-cv-questions-fit-interview-preparation-200
  • Motivational questions > https://www.preplounge.com/en/management-consulting-cases/fit-interview/intermediate/motivational-questions-fit-interview-preparation-201
  • Behavioural questions (ENTREPRENEURIAL DRIVE) >https://www.preplounge.com/en/management-consulting-cases/fit-interview/intermediate/behavioral-questions-entrepreneurial-drive-fit-interview-preparation-211

Feel free to PM me for disccount codes for the Integrated FIT Guide, since we still have some left from the launch!

Best and happy holidays,

Clara

Hi there,

I'm Agile-certified and have worked on a number of Agile-based projects. Have also helped a number of BCG experience hires in Platinon (i.e. Ditigal, Agile, practices). Shoot me a message and I'll be happy to talk more in depth.

In general, you shoudl (quite obviously), expect and interview/cases completely different to those for strategy consulting...they'll be testing you a lot more on your knowledge base, Agile concepts, etc.

#1 MBB Coach(Placed 750+ in MBBs & 1250+ in Tier2)| The Only 360° coach(Ex-McKinsey+Certified Coach+Active recruiter)

Hi there!

I agree with Ian that the interviews are different from the strategy consulting ones and aimed at testing Agile knowledge. The questions will be mainly focused on that.

Here are some questions worth looking at (especially advanced level). You can first answer them by yourself and then check with the given answers.

Hope it helps.

Good luck!
