Arthur D Little Consultant interview

First of all, congratulations on the invitation by Arthur D. Little!

I think this is an interesting question that may be relevant for many people. I would be happy to share my thoughts on it:

• I would highly advise you to reach out to Arthur D. Little and ask for a deferral. One week's notice is not ideal, yet interviewing you with this little preparation will not be beneficial for either you or ADL.
• If you still want to proceed with the interviews, I would highly advise you to reach out to a coach for help. It will be tough to be fully prepared for the interviews in just one week, and without professional guidance, you most probably will not be able to achieve the level of readiness required to pass the interviews.
• Lastly, I would advise you not to try to anticipate specific case study questions that might be asked. Many applicants try to do this, only to be caught off guard when the questions are different from what they expected. Instead, find a way that feels natural to you to approach case studies.

Agree with Ian. 

Getting up to speed with cases in one week is a challenge, even with a coach, since a whole system of thinking and multiple skills need to be learned and polished (depending on your starting point for each.

Generally, get rid of the mindset on what cases will be asked as this only sets you up for failure. Learn how to approach cases and any other problem really from a first-principles approach. This allows you to crack any problem with a replicable strategy.

Here are my thoughts:

1) The ADL process for Dubai office is something that I am familiar with. It is similar to other consulting companies - where they test both Fit and Case in each interviews.

2) I can only imagine that the process will be similar for the Italy office too.

3) You can always reach out to HR to shed some light on the interview structure to double check.

If you have an interview in 1 week and don't know anything about these you need a coach.

The only way you stand a chance is by hiring a top-tier coach. There's just so much to learn!

I highly recommend you take a look at the coaches that catch your eye and commit to one (no time for the delay that comes with intro calls).

One week is a really tight timeline. 

My suggestion would be to try and accelerate in this week with support from a coach. At least this will help you give it your best shot for the interview. 

If the interview doesn't work out you can still use that preparation to interview with other firms.
