Written Cases - Practice Materials

Hi all!

I have a written case interview coming up in a few weeks where I have one hour to read through the materials and prepare a presentation. I was wondering if anyone knows of the best cases to practice or how I could find them? From what I see in previous board postings, the cases are generally longer than normal cases with more information to parse through.

Thank you!

Hey there :)

You’re right, written cases usually give you a big pack of slides or data and an hour to distill it into a clear storyline. The skills tested are prioritization, structuring, and crisp communication, not solving every exhibit. To practice, the best proxies are longer case packets from INSEAD, Wharton, or Kellogg (many of these are freely available online), just take one, set a timer for 60 minutes, and force yourself to build a 3–4 slide presentation with key messages. You can also use annual reports or consulting whitepapers as “data packs” and summarize them into a client-ready storyline.

best,
Alessa :)

Hi,

I have 3 written cases available used at BCG.

Feel free to reach out to practice together.

I have multiple written cases, but that would require scheduling a coaching session. Would also have more value to you, as you would benefit from having someone explain you how to approach the session.
