Working for other office

Hello everyone,

If I get the offer from one of the US offices and I did not get the visa then what will happen?

I am currently in the process of an interview and the firm told me that they will file the visa for me but do not guarantee anything.

In case I get the offer, is it possible to work for some other office let's say for 12-18 months until the visa thing sorts out?

Hello!

Most likely they would place you in another office, where you can legally work until the US visa is worked out (I feel your pain, it´s been more nightmare than usual later).

Cheers,

Clara

They try to place you in another office of your choice or an office in your home country.

Hi there,

Yes, you shouldn't need to worry, they will place you in another non-US office in while they work through getting you into the US

This has been a common issue due to US immigration over the last few years. At McKinsey, the consultant was transferred to a non US office for a year.
