Why are the prices of white color per ton and other color per ton added together?

“The client spends 845 EUR/ton on “white paint” and 1,230 EUR/ton on “other paints” = 2,075 EUR /ton in total”

the prices are per ton of color, not for ton of packaging, because that were only 80EUR in the first task. So 2,075 EUR is the price for 2 tons of color (one white and one other). Or am I wrong?

Hi Johannes,

Even if your considerations sound absolutely logical in isolation, could you please tell me the position within the case study where this applies to?

Best,

Hagen

I think I know what he means. In task 2 this is stated as answer. Unfortunately, the answer stated is not accurate.

The combined 2,075 is not the price per ton, as stated. It is the combined price if we have one ton of both white and other paints. Therefore, it cannot be stated as price per ton. It is the price for 2 tons, one from each paint category.
