Hi Zaib,

First of all, congratulations on the invitation from Whiteshield!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, I would strongly advise you to use PrepLounge's search function. About 1.5 years ago, someone asked a question about this exact topic (see here).
  • Moreover, the person who asked the question shared this: "Email mentioned it will assess motivation, communication skills and data interpretation skills." If this is still the case, I don't understand what's unclear to you. The dimensions are clearly outlined, so you can prepare for situations in which you demonstrated these traits. Those are most likely the types of questions you will face.
  • Lastly, to be certain, I would strongly advise you to reach out to current and/or past consultants and/or the recruiter for insights on the video interview.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming Whiteshield interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

To my understanding, Whiteshield is relatively niche so probably the only coaches who can give you a good answer here are those who specialize in the UAE market. I'd suggesting contacting one of them.

However, there are some general points to be ready to discuss in any video interview, especially one focused on fit.

  • Be ready to talk about your academic background and why consulting / Whiteshield
  • Be ready to demonstrate instances of personal leadership (i.e., example of when you led a team, or were a catalyst for change, or showed strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflict, etc - ChatGPT can give you a bunch of these questions)
  • Be ready to receive some questions about Whiteshield itself - make sure to have read about the company in depth, including a couple of newer pieces of research they've put out

But as I said before - these are quite generalized, and you'd be better off speaking to a UAE expert.

Hi there,

If you're confused about the scope of the discussion, it's best not to guess it. Instead, reach out quickly to the recruiter and ask them directly. This will save you a lot of time and might make the difference between preparing for the right thing or not.

Best,
Cristian

Hey!

For Whiteshield’s video interview, focus on clear structure, concise answers, and showing your interest in public policy, strategy, and data-driven thinking. Prep like you would for fit/behavioral questions—think: why consulting, why Whiteshield, your relevant experience, a time you solved a complex problem, and your motivation for the role. Practice answering in 1–2 minutes max per question, and record yourself to check tone and structure.

Let me know if you want to go over sample answers together!

best,
Alessa :)
