Which laptop and phone do Consultants at bain and company get after mba hire

What’s the point of this question in terms of preparation?

SEA for reference:

Laptop - Thinkpad. 

Phone - you can use your own phone and get reimbursed on the cost monthly according the usage rules. 

Others - typical gadgets e.g., headset for calls, one time ergonomic allowance.

The majority of consultants across firms have a Lenovo ThinkPad and an iPhone :)

Everybody in MBB, unless they are part of a specialised practice, or with other minor exceptions, uses a ThinkPad. They're rather good, sturdy and you get used to them quickly.
