I want to receive updates regarding this question via email.

When can I reapply to EY?

I didn't get through EY's second round in technology consulting. However, when I checked the same role in different geography (EY UK), they mentioned that I can apply after 6 months?

So, am I banned for this particular role or even generalist roles at EY? Is it possible to apply to technology consulting in different geography or not?

Hi there,

If they said you can apply again in 6 months after the rejection, well, you can ;)

Normally the ban is at least 12 months, but in some cases they allow to apply earlier if your performance in the final was close to a pass.

If you have any doubts, you can clarify with HR. In any case, I would look for a referral for the new application. You can find more on referrals at the following link:

Best,

Francesco

Hello!

Unfortunately, I would say no, even if it´s a different position.

The reason for the ban is that you need to add "relevant" experience to your CV, and you need at least 12-18 months for that.

A referral would for sure help, but after the required months.

Don´t give up!

Cheers,

Clara

If you are referring to EY UK, then you can reapply in 6 months. This ban period is different in different countries. For UK its 6 months.

EY HR is not very well integrated (accross geographies). So yes, in principle you can “get away” with applying for the same role at multiple countries.

Hi there,

If they have told you that you can re-apply in 6 months, then you can re-apply in 6 months!

That said, the general rule is 12-18 months.

I would check directly with the recruiter/HR to see when you can re-apply.

I checked with the HR and they mentioned I can re-apply since they had no rules as such!

Yes, never give up, simply apply again. Also if for any reason you get the feedback to wait, then start elsewhere and apply again in a year's time. Even if we think there is only that one favorite consulting firm that is right for us, there are so many options and you can also put in time elsewhere and move on to your target later. For example aim for a firm now rated even higher, then you can always go to EY later. I would not worry too much about this.
