What to wear for virtual coffee chat?

I was lucky enough to be able to schedule a chat with at partner at MBB through Zoom this week. It'll be at 9:30 AM tomorrow, but I was unsure what would be appropriate to wear during it - is a collared dress shirt okay, or should I dress down a little more (like a flannel)? Thanks for any advice.

Hello,

Congratulations on securing a coffee chat! A collared dress shirt is totally fine! Different offices have different dress codes, but I'd say that business formal is fairly standard for coffee chats and recruiting events. Best of luck!

It's always better to be slightly overdressed, so collared shirt is just fine. Best of luck!

Hi there,

Q: I was unsure what would be appropriate to wear during it - is a collared dress shirt okay, or should I dress down a little more

I would go for the dress shirt – better to be formal in these situations.

Good luck!

Nice work!

Yes, collared dress shirt absolutely is fine (and what I would do for a partner call).

Good luck!

Dear candidate,

A) great, both is fine. Something formal professional that you like wearing is best.

B) for the partner interview prep why you want to join that firm and why you want that role, what makes you stand out

C) don't forget to mention if helpful whom you know at the firm or why you enjoy working there from your experience so far
