I got waitlisted after a final round interview at EY Parthenon. How likely is it that I'll get off the waitlist? How long will it take?

This is in undergraduate on campus recruiting in the US/ New York office. They said on the call that they would let me know in 2-3 weeks and that they are doing another round of interviews and couldn't tell me until after.
Thanks. Unfortunately I think it is quite unlikely you get the offer, given that description. Maybe you can try to see if you could transfer your application to another office...

This isn't the greatest thing to hear, but, in all my years I've actually never heard of anyone getting an offer off the waitlist.
That said, these are interesting times so you truly never know. I would hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Best to check with HR on what is their expectation.
I have heard from my coachees that sometimes the waitlist is extending out to the next recruiting cycle as well.
Typically you get off the waitlist once the other candidates in front of you have been recruited or have rejected the offer/waitlist.
Speculating here, as I never had direct view on something like this (we would manage this in a smoother way).
You'll have to wait until a sufficient number of people reject their offers. Expect this to take up to a month, as some people will wait until they finish their interviews with other firms before giving their final answer (unless they are still conducting a lot of interviews, in that case I guess you could have to wait even longer…)
By the way, are you applying to a small office? In general, I would expect offices to give out more offers than vacancies, based on historical acceptance rates.
