Took Mckinsey PSG on Nov.12th, no responces yet

Question

I submitted an application to US offices for summer internship (application ddl 11th) on Nov. 8th and got an invitation to take PSG with a ddl of 13th. I took the test on 12th, haven't heard anything yet… They said they would inform me about next steps regarding applications by the first week of Dec. But….I am…..Very anxious…. Anyone in the similar situation got any reponces yet?

Thanks for the detailed post, that always helps :)

If they told you they would come back by the first week of December, I wouldn't be worried. I wouldn´t be surprised if this is being done in different waves these weeks, and they wait until a certain threshold to start sending invites or rejections.

Furthermore, keep in mind it´s Thanksgiving week in the US, and many people will be out this week, which also slows things done.

Hi there,

The time to get a reply after the PSG game varies. It is often within 2 weeks but can be longer. In your case, it may take longer due to Thanksgiving. The longest I heard was 2 months and the result was positive.

Given they explicitly mentioned they will follow up after the first week in December, I would not worry at the moment and would contact them if needed after that deadline.

Last time I checked it was November!

Be patient, they'll get back to you in the coming weeks. If they haven't by the 2nd week of December, then you can reach out.

It usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to get the results. If they themselves suggested early December it's because they know they'll really need 3 weeks to get the results. It's all good.
