Salary estimates London

Hello,

Could someone help me to understand salary estimates for London based roles listed below. I’m from US so not sure on this.

Associate Consultant

Delivery Consultant (is this the same as an associate consultant?) - I don’t see many listings under this title

Engagement Manager

Thank you!

to be honest, UK doesn't pay much and cost of living here is insane. Think twice bwfore moving to London.

Hey there!

From my OWN EXPERIENCE - no reliable source:

  • Associate Consultant: ~£50K–£65K base (+ bonus)
  • Delivery Consultant: This role can vary; if similar to Associate Consultant, expect a similar range, but it's best to check with the specific firm.
  • Engagement Manager: ~£90K–£120K base (+ performance bonus)

Compensation can differ by firm, industry, and experience. Hope this helps! ?

Hi there,

Compared to the US, it will be lower - that's certain.

In order to get a good estimate, please add the specific firms you are talking about as salaries can differ across firms and tiers (the role descriptions alone are not enough as several consulting firms have EMs).

Cheers,

Florian

Hi there,

Which consulting firms are you asking about specifically? For example, "Associate Consultant" is a role at Bain, while "Engagement Manager" is a role at McKinsey.

Best,

Hagen

Hey there,

Just to add, cross check with Glassdoor, Indeed, Payscale and LinkedIn salary for futher insights on salary estimates.

You can also go further with Reddit and Fishbowl if you want views from former (or current) employees who may share this anonymously

Then once you have all data points, you can cross check and get a good sense of what the true amount would be.

Unfortunately for this, recruiting and HR will not disclose until and unless you pass the interview rounds and get an offer

All the best!

Hey,

It's better to use Glassdoor for this.

Mckinsey SHAPE Delivery Consultant Salaries - in my screening interiview HR asked me my expectations and current sallary. My current is much lower than what they would offer and I'm worried what I said as my expectation is much lower than what they do - is that a disadvantage.
