Revolut tests

Hello,

Just received an invitation to Revolut tests;

1. Cognitive Aptitude SHL Assessment - 40 questions, 20 mins
2. Workstyle preference survey - 30 questions, 7 mins

Does anyone have any tips on these? Any sources I can use to practise, especially on the Workstyle preference survey, as I never did such an assessment before?

Thank you!

Hey! Congrats on getting the Revolut invite — nice step forward 👏

  1. Cognitive Aptitude (SHL-style)
These are mostly logic, numerical reasoning, and pattern-recognition questions. The big trick isn’t mastering every question — it’s managing the time pressure. Practicing with any generic SHL-type tests will help a lot. Good free sources:

    • SHL practice samples (on their own site)
    • Graduates First / AssessmentDay (even the free versions help)
    • Any “inductive reasoning / diagrammatic reasoning” practice tests

When practicing, focus on speed + accuracy, because 20 minutes for 40 questions goes by fast. Skip early if something looks like a time sink.

  2. Workstyle Preference Survey
Here, Revolut is checking for consistency and alignment with Revolut’s pacey, ownership-driven culture.

    Best approach:

    • Study up on Revolut's culture
    • Keep your responses consistent (e.g., don’t say you love structure on one question and then claim you prefer chaos in another)

If you want to get a feel for the format, you can search for “SHL OPQ” examples — that’s the type of inventory many companies use.

Good luck — you’ve got this! 🚀

You'll find lots of examples online to practice for point 1. This should also help:

Point 2 is more about cultural fit with Revolut. You might want to read up on them and even have a coffee chat with people who work there. But I'd advise you to be as honest as possible, rather than 'trying' to fit, because the risk is that you might find yourself in an environment you don't actually like.

Best,
Cristian

hello!

For those cognitive test, it’s just like a fast SHL numerical and verbal test: So i would say: practice on AssessmentDay or PracticeAptitudeTests under a timer. For the Workstyle survey, there’s no right or wrong answer; it’s about consistency and showing traits they value, like teamwork, adaptability, and initiative. Just answer honestly but keep your answers aligned across similar questions. Doing a few free SHL-style personality quizzes online can help you get used to the format.

best, Alessa :)

Revolut screens heavily because they get insane application volume. The cognitive test is standard SHL: pattern recognition, basic math, and logic. Do 3–5 practice drills so you understand pacing.
The Workstyle survey is essentially a fit/personality test. They’re checking if your traits match their culture: speed, ownership, resilience, autonomy. Don’t try to fake it as consistency matters more than specific traits. If your answers contradict each other, the algorithm will kill your score.
