Recruitment/Hiring

Hi all,

I am currently looking to apply to MBB and other consulting firms in ME or Europe, and wanted to understand if the hiring is going on or is it frozen for the time being.

Also, apart from MBB and Big4, which other lucrative firms should I look to target. (I have a consulting background in Monitor)

Hi there,

Yes, hiring has slowed down and some offices have frozen hiring for some roles. But these things change fast and you shouldn't develop your application strategy based on this. Use the following guide to think through the process:

Aside from this, make sure that you apply broadly, not only to MBB but also to Tier 2 and 3, starting with the firms that you are least interested in joining. This way you'll be at your sharpest towards the end of the process.

Best,
Cristian

Hi there,

MBB and other firms are still recruiting in ME and Europe. Some are not. Some are. This varies by exact company/office/role combo, so you need to figure out exactly what the situation is for each based on your context.

I am actively coaching candidates in these regions for these firms.

Do a google of the top consultancies and you should get a good list! This could include OW, RB, Kearney, LEK, etc.

Hi there,

has hiring slowed down? - YES. Are companies still hiring? - YES.

Do consulting firms just fake to still be hiring? - Probably not because it would be a waste of time and resources

So if you do see open positions posted and/or you contact the recruiter about details, you can assume that they are still looking for candidates if they tell you that they do.

In addition to MBB, look up a list of ‘Tier 2’ consulting firms. You'll find many of them listed on here as well. See if they cover the areas you are interested in in the geography you are interested in.

Good luck

Hello,

This is going to be firm/office/role dependent! In general, if you see open positions posted, you can assume they are hiring. Otherwise unfortunately the answer is that you have to do your due diligence and reach out to people at the specific firms and offices you are interested in, as there's no one general answer here.
