Is there any resources that provide practices for Bain SOVA/TestGorilla or BCG Casey? How to prepare for them?
Recommended resources for MBB online assessment?
Hi there,
Yes, there is plenty of resources out there for SOVA & Casey. I've listed a few of them below for your convenience:
For Bain/SOVA/TestGorilla
- Preplounge forum: This question has been asked before - please see here a list of great answers from other coaches on SOVA --> PrepLounge
- The SOVA “Candidate Preparation Hub” (by SOVA itself) – includes sample assessment questions. sovaassessment.com
- JobTestPrep’s “Free Sova Assessment Practice” – free sample questions + full explanations. jobtestprep.co.uk
- CaseBasix’s “Bain Online Test (SOVA): Complete Guide” – lots of detail + free practice. casebasix.com
For BCG / Case interviews / “Casey” chatbot
- CaseBasix’s “BCG Online Case (Casey Chatbot): Free Practice Simulation” – offers sample chatbot cases. casebasix.com
- MyConsultingCoach’s “Casey – BCG Online Case Assessment” guide. MyConsultingCoach
- IgotAnOffer’s “BCG Online Case Assessment / Casey Chatbot: Guide & Free Practice Cases” – good overview + free case links. IGotAnOffer
ManagementConsulted article “BCG Online Case / Casey Chatbot Interview – Preparation Tips” – good practical guidance. Management Consulted

Of course, if your budget allows, engaging with a coach that you like can accelerate results — especially for Casey, since that is essentially a mini case interview.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Thor
This is a crucial question. Getting past the assessment is the first major hurdle, and frankly, it feels arbitrary sometimes because the tests are specifically designed to filter high volumes without traditional prep being completely effective.
Here is the reality on resources: You won't find reliable, large-scale, third-party prep materials for the specific versions of the Bain SOVA or BCG Casey that are live right now. The firms iterate quickly precisely to avoid having test dumps circulate. If you find resources promising exact questions, they are likely outdated or misleading.
Instead of chasing dumps, focus on the core skills being measured. For SOVA (numerical, verbal, abstract reasoning), your best preparation is standard GMAT/GRE critical reasoning and data interpretation sections. The real trick is managing the clock: the tests aren’t difficult conceptually; they are designed to be impossible to finish perfectly. Practice working rapidly under simulated constraints. Time pressure is the number one candidate killer here.
For BCG Casey, which is largely a data interpretation and judgment simulation, your highest-value resource is the official BCG practice test. Run through it multiple times until you understand the navigation, the data formatting, and the time budgeting for each section. This isn't about memorizing answers; it's about eliminating the mental friction of learning a new interface while the clock is running. Do this, and you position yourself in the top percentile needed to pass.
All the best!
There are lots online actually - I see some examples have been mentioned already.
One thing to bear in mind: these tests keep on changing from year to year but essentially they stay the same. Which means that you can use older versions of the test and still have a clear idea of what you can expect.
I'll also add here a guide that contains the most common formulas that appear in cases and tests:
