Hi Mogana,

I am happy to provide my perspective on it:

  • As the solution indicates: "From top to bottom, the elements of the figure balance each other out for each column.
This means that the elements that would overlap if the top two fields were "pushed over each other" cancel out in the lowest field of each column. The elements that are present in only one of the two fields are added to the figure
Only answer choice D satisfies these conditions.
The line shown in red disappears because it occurs in field 1 and 2 (answer D) of the first column. The line shown in green only occurs in field 2 (answer D) and therefore appears in the last column."
  • Still, I was wondering for what type of test from which strategy consulting company are you doing those tests?

In case you want a more detailed discussion on what to do in your specific situation, please feel free to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

This is quite a tough one - took me a while to get it before looking at the solution.

You are reading each column as a separate set. For each column, you take the top picture and take away the lines that overlap with the one directly below it. The result is the picture at the bottom

Hi Mogana,

Can you describe the question as well as your approach? Only then can we help.
