Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with Deloitte thus far!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, the psychometric test - like any other part of the application process - can of course be eliminatory. It is designed to assess a range of competencies and personality traits that are relevant to the role you have applied for.
  • Moreover, while waiting for the technical round, I would advise you to continue preparing rigorously. This will ensure you are well-prepared when the opportunity arises.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi!

Yes, though it's difficult to tell whether it's the psychometric test or something else.

What I mean by that is that often HR will assess the candidate profile together with the test results once they have all of them together. So basically, maybe the psychometric tests were great, but the CV wasn't. Or the other way around.

Generally, it's healthier to assume that any round can lead to elimination.

Good luck!
Cristian

Typically each round has the potential to eliminate candidates from the process. If a candidate scores very poorly in one dimension, there is then little interest in moving them forward. Especially when subsequent interviews/tests would have to be scheduled on a different day rather than same day.

So take every interaction you have with the firm during the recruiting process seriously. Even if it is “just an informal" call.

Good luck

Depends on office but yet, this can be a hard elimination criteria. Warm regards and fingers crossed, Freddy

Hi there,

All rounds are potentially eliminatory. Please also remember that, at all stages, you are assessed hollistically. This is especially true in the earlier stages.

Hi there,

Your applications is considered as a whole (resume + cover letter + game performance + referrals). This means that you can perform average during the test and still get an invitation to your first interview.

Best,

Alberto

yes, it can be eliminatory, although it is usually used in later stages of the recruiting process.
