Hi Pieter,

Congrats on getting to the next stage!

The BCG Quantitative Reasoning Test is designed to assess your ability to interpret data and make logical, math-driven decisions under time pressure. Here are a few tips to help you prepare effectively:

1. Practice with charts and tables:
Get comfortable quickly interpreting graphs, tables, and charts. Focus on speed and accuracy in identifying trends, ratios, and key figures.

2. Brush up on mental math and estimation:
While the math itself isn’t complex, time is limited. Practice percentages, ratios, and multi-step calculations without a calculator.

3. Focus on business logic:
Questions often test more than math; they require sound business judgment. Practice framing your calculations in context (e.g., “What’s the most profitable option?”).

4. Work under timed conditions:
Simulate the test environment. Time pressure is often the biggest challenge, so train yourself to move quickly without second-guessing.

5. Use official or style-matched practice tests if available:
These will help you get familiar with the format and difficulty level.

Best of luck, you’re on the right track! Let me know if you’d like help with practice questions or reviewing answer strategies.

HI,

The other coaches have great responses, but I would add:

- You should practice your maths on the prep lounge mental maths  https://www.preplounge.com/en/mental-math

It's good for keeping your maths muscle memory ready and alert because there are different levels and it's timed.

Good luck and happy to chat

Hello there,

I suggest you to practice with the Integrated Reasoning part of the GMAT exam.

You can find free tests that you can use for practice (such as e-gmat, Veritas prep, Magoosh, etc).

Good luck!

Best,

Mari
